We had the pleasure to have a wonderful intern on our team recently! Maddy Balmer worked with us on several pieces that will soon come to market. We are pleased to introduce her to our Bait'D Fans!
"I am an industrial design student in my last quarter at The Art Institute of Seattle. I actually started school as a photography major and shortly after learned about Industrial Design. I realized it was exactly what I wanted to do. I love designing products for outdoor recreation but really I enjoy designing products to make people’s lives better. Outside of school, I enjoy swimming and going to the beach. I also like hiking and bouldering. If I’m not outside, I’m inside watching Game of Thrones or Grey’s Anatomy and cuddling with my cat, Sprocket. I also work at a doggy daycare and love taking care of pups.I was a junior in my program when I started getting to know Abbie and learning about what she was doing with Bait’D. The more I learned about what she was doing the more I looked up to her as a fellow student and designer. I also got to know Bait’D as a company and grew really interested in what they were designing and how their products give a sense of empowerment through sexuality and elegance. When I was far enough in my program to get an internship, it was a really fantastic opportunity to approach Abbie and for her to take me on as an intern with Bait’D.Once I graduate from school I’d really like getting a job in outdoor recreation design, furniture design, or home goods." - Maddy Balmer
